Have you ever felt pressure to soften or change the Gospel? Have you noticed ministers on talk shows seeming to “beat around the bush” about the narrowness of Christianity? Some act as though we wrote the Holy Scriptures and can revise them based on popularity.
Let’s settle this clearly: Holy Scripture leaves no room for change.
Yeshua/Jesus said plainly, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” He also warned that anyone trying to enter another way is like a thief who does not come through the true door.
Peter declared with boldness, “Salvation is found in no one else. There is no other name under heaven given among humanity by which we must be saved.”
John described the Great White Throne Judgment: the dead stand before God, the books are opened, and each person is judged according to what is written. If anyone’s name is not found written in the Book of Life, that is their final judgment. Nothing is more important than knowing your name is written there.
No apologies. No “beating around the bush.” We did not author Holy Scripture, and we have no authority to change it.
There are only two choices:
For those urging us to “change with the times,” we cannot. We are not policy makers, executives, or board members. We are representatives.
“All things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. God was in Christ restoring the world to Himself, not counting people’s sins against them, and He has entrusted to us this message of reconciliation.”
Our role is simple: like representatives who do not create policy, we do not alter the message. We proclaim it. Through the Gospel of Yeshua/Jesus, God is reconciling the world to Himself.
